FC Schalke 04 manages busy schedule and player updates

FC Schalke 04 faces a busy week involving various squad levels. The first team is preparing for an away match against 1. FC Köln, with coach Miron Muslic expected to address player availability for Edin Dzeko and Moussa Sylla during a scheduled press conference.

In the Regionalliga West, Schalke's U23 side enters a demanding week with matches against 1. FC Köln's reserve team and VfB Hilden. Additionally, the DFB-Nachwuchsliga will feature a derby between Schalke 04 and Borussia Dortmund, with high ticket demand reported for the fixture.

On an individual note, Schalke striker Christian Gomis has scored his first goal since joining CD Tenerife on loan. After a long goal drought and limited playing time under Muslic, Gomis scored in the 17th minute during a match against FC Cordoba in the Spanish second division. Despite his goal, Tenerife lost the match 2-3.
