FC Schalke 04 updates: Rühl-Hamers elected to Bundesliga committee and Becker extends contract

FC Schalke 04 is managing several organizational and squad developments. Financial director Christina Rühl-Hamers has been unanimously elected to the Bundesliga e. V. licensing committee for a four-year term. She will continue her role at Schalke, focusing on meeting equity requirements alongside sporting director Frank Baumann.

Regarding the squad, young player Vitalie Becker has officially extended his contract with the club until June 30, 2030, strengthening the left-back position alongside Robin Gosens. Additionally, the club is in intensive negotiations to secure a long-term contract for Adil Aouchiche through 2029.

On the pitch, manager Miron Muslic is overseeing defensive competition, with Loris Karius established as the starting goalkeeper. While some analysts, such as Mario Basler, have expressed skepticism regarding the transfer of Robin Gosens, they have noted the club's positive direction under the current leadership.
