FC Schalke 04 opens public trainings and readies test match against FC Gütersloh

FC Schalke 04 has opened all training sessions to the public for the first week of its pre‑season preparations. The club scheduled public sessions from Tuesday to Friday at the Berger Feld, drawing about 3,700 spectators for the opening session. After a brief autograph and photo period, coach Miron Muslic welcomed 22 senior players, while several youngsters joined the U23 squad. The week concludes with a friendly against Regionalliga side FC Gütersloh on Saturday at the Ohlendorf‑Stadion.

The Veltins‑Arena in Gelsenkirchen, Schalke’s home ground, can accommodate up to 62,278 fans. The venue’s seating is divided into numbered upper tiers and lettered lower tiers, with dedicated sections for business seats, wheelchair users, and the club’s ultras in the North Curve. On match days the arena offers around 14,000 parking spaces, reachable via several A‑road exits, and parking fees are paid digitally through apps or kiosks.
