FC Schalke 04 reports mixed financial and broadcasting updates

FC Schalke 04 has released its annual financial statement for the period from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026. The club’s cooperative, Auf Schalke eG, reported modest growth, adding 796 members and increasing its business assets to approximately 8.5 million euros. Despite a nationwide promotional tour, membership growth remains slow. However, the cooperative provided a significant financial boost by purchasing a 5.4 percent stake in the stadium company for roughly 7.5 million euros, which sports director Frank Baumann noted was essential for the club’s winter transfers and maintaining leverage in player negotiations.

Following the club’s return to the Bundesliga, broadcasting arrangements for the 2026/27 season involve Sky and DAZN. These providers hold the rights to broadcast Schalke’s matches, including Friday and Saturday Bundesliga fixtures, via linear television and streaming services.
