German football: Darmstadt wins while Schalke faces scoring struggles

In German football, SV Darmstadt 98 secured a 3-1 victory over Energie Cottbus, overturning an early deficit to move off the bottom of the table. Goals from Noah Weißhaupt, Aleksandar Vukotic, and Yannik Lührs secured the win for the hosts.

Meanwhile, FC Schalke 04 faces ongoing challenges in the Bundesliga. Despite a strong defensive record, the team is struggling with offensive efficiency, ranking low in expected goals (xG) conversion. Coach Miron Muslic is managing high competition in the attacking lineup, featuring players like Moussa Sylla, Junior Adamu, and veteran Edin Dzeko. Additionally, there is internal discussion regarding the squad's composition, specifically the role of young talent Mertcan Ayhan and the contract situation of Hasan Kurucay.
