FC Schalke 04 targets world record for heart health awareness

FC Schalke 04 is planning a world record attempt in collaboration with Knappschaft Kliniken to promote heart health awareness. During the home match against SV Elversberg on September 20, the club aims to collect more than 4,000 EKG recordings through mobile measurement stations and a dedicated app for smartwatch users. This initiative, part of the ‘Kumpelherz’ prevention project, seeks to surpass a previous record set in India in September 2023, where 3,797 measurements were conducted in a single day.

In addition to the record attempt, there are discussions regarding the development of a new fan zone near the Veltins-Arena. The proposed concept involves an externally funded container-based setup featuring gastronomy, a beer garden, public viewing areas, and a fanshop. This facility would serve as a permanent meeting point for supporters, even on non-match days, and could provide a space for players to interact with fans.
