FC Schalke 04 defeats Austria Lustenau 1-0 in friendly

FC Schalke 04 secured a 1-0 victory in their second friendly match during the international break, facing Austrian side Austria Lustenau in Vorarlberg. Moussa Sylla scored the decisive goal in the 66th minute with a header following assistance from Robin Gosens and Ron Schallenberg.

Trainer Miron Muslic utilized the match to conduct defensive experiments and integrate returning players, including Loris Karius and Robin Gosens, while managing a squad missing nine national team players. Despite a quiet first half characterized by low chances and ball losses, Schalke improved their offensive play in the second period. The win follows a previous 5-2 friendly victory against RW Oberhausen.
