FC Seoul nears first K League 1 title in 10 years
FC Seoul is nearing its first K League 1 title in ten years. Following a 2-1 victory over Jeju SK in Round 31, Seoul holds 65 points, establishing an 18-point lead over second-place Ulsan HD, who recently lost to Gwangju FC.
Seoul requires only 4 more points from its remaining 7 matches to secure the championship independently of other results. Key contributors to Seoul's campaign include striker Patryk Klimala, who currently leads the scoring race with 14 goals, midfielder Jeong Seung-won, and captain Kim Jin-su.
While the club approaches a historic milestone, manager Kim Ki-dong and the players have maintained a cautious approach, noting that the title is not yet officially secured and citing a demanding upcoming schedule that includes the AFC Champions League Two.
