FC St. Pauli and HSV youth teams face off in midday derby

FC St. Pauli is preparing for an upcoming away match against Energie Cottbus. In recent player updates, new signing Youssoupha Niang addressed concerns regarding a potential injury during his starting debut against Wolfsburg, clarifying that it was a muscle cramp rather than a serious injury.

Separately, the Regionalliga youth teams of Hamburger SV (HSV) and FC St. Pauli are scheduled to face each other in a ‘small derby’ at the Hoheluft-Stadion. The match is set for a Wednesday at 12:00 PM, a kickoff time chosen for security reasons to prevent large fan gatherings from coinciding with professional matches. The timing has drawn criticism from fans who argue the midday slot will limit attendance for the youth talent showcase.
