FC St. Pauli signs veteran Branimir Hrgota and begins Austrian preseason camp

FC St. Pauli has completed the signing of 33‑year‑old forward Branimir Hrgota, adding to a two‑decade pattern of acquiring experienced attacking players. Earlier veteran signings such as Mahir Saglik in 2011‑12 and Maurides Roque Junior in 2023‑25 have yielded mixed results for the club.

The team travelled to Flachau, Austria for its first preseason training session, enjoying sunny weather and high‑quality pitches. New arrival Sam Klein was unable to join the initial workout because of adductor problems, and Adam Dzwigala took part at a reduced level after recent muscle concerns.
