FC St. Pauli updates on Peace Prize and DFB investigations

FC St. Pauli is currently preparing for an upcoming match against Hannover 96 following the end of the international break. The club has also announced that the Black Women’s Player Collective, an organization within the US NWSL advocating for equality and the promotion of Black girls in football, is the latest recipient of the FC St. Pauli Peace Prize.

Separately, investigations by the DFB Control Committee continue regarding incidents during a DFB-Pokal match between FC St. Pauli and Rot-Weiss Essen on August 23. The investigation follows reports of a Hitler salute by an Essen fan and sexually discriminatory remarks directed at a St. Pauli employee. Additionally, the DFB is looking into allegations from Rot-Weiss Essen regarding St. Pauli fans chanting “Nazi-Schweine” during the match. Both clubs face potential sanctions as the proceedings move forward.
