FC Tatran Prešov management alleges financial misconduct by former executives

FC Tatran Prešov is embroiled in a severe internal conflict between its current management and former executives Ľuboš Micheľ and Stanislav Šesták. The club's new leadership has issued a public statement alleging significant financial and reputational damage caused by the previous administration.

Key allegations include the loss of league subsidies, which dropped from 90,000 to 57,000 euros due to unpaid vehicle leases. The new management also claims that former officials implemented suspicious transfer policies, such as a deal for Andy Masaryka and Jakub Michlík that left Tatran without registered players, and a transfer involving Filip Souček that allegedly required the club to pay an additional 60,000 euros.

Furthermore, the current leadership claims that previous contracts included bonuses for players specifically for being relegated from the league—obligations the new management must now fulfill. They also noted that agent commissions were approved for the 2026/2027 season for players who may no longer be with the club. The club has threatened legal action against any misleading information, while the former executives have denied the accusations of wrongdoing.
