FC Tokyo and Mitsui Fudosan Residential partner to promote CO2 reduction

FC Tokyo and Mitsui Fudosan Residential are strengthening their partnership for the 2026/27 season to promote CO2 reduction through sports-driven initiatives. The collaboration links FC Tokyo’s ‘NO PLANET, NO TOKYO’ campaign with Mitsui Fudosan Residential’s ‘Kurashi no Sasukatsu’ program.

A key component of the upcoming season is the ‘warm share’ initiative during winter. This program encourages fans and supporters to gather at stadiums or local community hubs, thereby reducing individual household energy consumption for heating and lighting. Previous data from the 2025/26 season indicated that ‘cool share’ activities during home games could lead to an estimated 34% reduction in electricity usage for participating households.

The companies aim to use data from CO2 reduction levels, event participation, and participant surveys to visualize and verify environmental impacts. These findings will be used to refine future strategies and promote continuous behavioral changes among supporters, aligning with the goals of the Sport Positive Leagues (SPL) international initiative.
