FC Tokyo defeats Tokyo Verdy 4-0 in Tokyo Derby

FC Tokyo secured a dominant 4-0 victory over Tokyo Verdy in the Tokyo Derby during a J1 League match on October 17. The match was heavily influenced by an early incident in the 18th minute when Tokyo Verdy forward Yuzuki Some received a straight red card following a challenge on FC Tokyo defender Hayato Inamura.

Playing with a numerical advantage, FC Tokyo took the lead in the 41st minute through a header by Alexander Scholz. They extended their lead in the second half via a penalty converted by Marcelo Hiian and a goal from Mikki Nagakura. Dani Gomes added a final goal in stoppage time to complete the rout.
