FC Twente coach van den Brom says team not at Europa League level after elimination

FC Twente were knocked out of the Europa League after a 2-2 draw with Hungarian side Ferencváros in Budapest, ending their campaign and moving them into the Europa Conference League where they will meet Slovakia's DAC.

Head coach John van den Brom criticised the performance, stating that "the first half was terrible to watch" and that the squad "is not at Europa League level". He referred to the earlier 1-2 loss in the first leg and noted late goals from Wout Weghorst and Lucas Vennegoor of Hesselink were not enough to secure progression.
