FC Twente signs Filip Thorvaldsen and pursues Jerayno Schaken

FC Twente has officially confirmed the signing of Norwegian forward Filip Thorvaldsen from Vålerenga. The 20-year-old has signed a five-season contract that keeps him in Enschede until mid-2031. Reports indicate the transfer fee is approximately five million euros, making him one of the club’s most expensive acquisitions. Technical director Erik ten Hag praised Thorvaldsen’s speed, agility, and one-on-one abilities.

In separate transfer news, FC Twente continues to show interest in Feyenoord’s 17-year-old winger Jerayno Schaken. Despite a previous one-million-euro bid being rejected, the club remains interested. Negotiations between Schaken and Feyenoord regarding a contract extension have reportedly been difficult. Feyenoord is seeking approximately ten million euros for the player, whose current contract runs until mid-2028.
