FC Voluntari president criticizes refereeing commission

Bogdan Bălănescu, president of FC Voluntari, has publicly criticized Kyros Vassaras and the Central Commission of Referees (CCA) regarding officiating and administrative procedures. Bălănescu claims he addressed two pertinent questions to Vassaras three weeks ago but has received no response. He also expressed concerns regarding the timing of referee delegations, noting that while other matches had officials announced 24 hours in advance, Voluntari's assignments were released much later, around midnight.

Bălănescu suggested that the club's players have felt a sense of persecution from referees. He questioned whether the club has benefited from any officiating errors, given the recent controversies.

Regarding the club's financial situation, Bălănescu stated that while there are outstanding payments, they are not unmanageable and will be resolved shortly. He noted that such minor delays are common among clubs in Romania and emphasized that professional player salaries are paid through TV rights and sponsorship funds.
