FCB Nyasa Big Bullets reclaim top spot in Malawi Premiership

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets have returned to the top of the 2026/27 FDH Bank Premiership table following a 3-0 victory over MAFCO at CIVO Stadium in Lilongwe. The win moves Bullets to 36 points from 17 games, overtaking Wanderers, who sit on 35 points.

New signing Tinaye Tsimba, a 23-year-old Zimbabwean national, secured the man of the match award after scoring two goals in the second half. Clever Kalambo opened the scoring for Bullets in the 13th minute. Despite several attempts from MAFCO, including strikes from Clifford Msowoya that hit the post or were blocked, the visitors were unable to find the net.

Bullets head coach Wedson Nyirenda praised Tsimba’s ability to hold up the ball, noting it addressed a previous tactical deficiency. Following the match, MAFCO remains in 14th place with 13 points.
