Füchse Berlin loses German Super Cup to SC Magdeburg

Füchse Berlin suffered a 31-38 defeat against SC Magdeburg in the German Super Cup held in Munich. Despite the loss, player Matthes Langhoff, who scored five goals, noted that the team is working to distribute offensive responsibility more broadly to relieve pressure on star player Mathias Gidsel.

Mathias Gidsel, entering his fifth season with the club, expressed confidence in the team's potential despite recent departures of key players like Lasse Andersson and Dejan Milosavljev. Gidsel described the Super Cup loss as a “reality check” and noted that while the squad has undergone changes, the new player profiles present new opportunities for the upcoming Handball-Bundesliga season.
