Füchse Berlin secures Champions League win ahead of Gummersbach clash

Füchse Berlin secured a dominant 44-33 victory against Partizan Beograd in their EHF Champions League opener. Mathias Gidsel led the offensive performance, contributing 22 total points through nine goals and 13 assists.

Following the win, head coach Nicolej Krickau praised the team's defensive work, specifically highlighting Mijajlo Marsenić and Max Darj for their role in controlling the game. Despite the successful European debut, Krickau warned that the team faces an immediate and intense challenge in the Bundesliga.

Füchse Berlin is scheduled to face VfL Gummersbach at the Max-Schmeling-Halle this Sunday. Krickau described Gummersbach as an “absolute top opponent” known for their stability and defensive quality under coach Guðjón Valur Sigurðsson.
