Füchse Berlin to rely on internal talent instead of new transfers

Füchse Berlin management has confirmed that the club will not seek an external replacement for Lasse Andersson following his departure to the Danish club HØJ Elite. During a presentation for sponsors, Managing Director Bob Hanning stated that the club will not purchase a new left back simply to fill the vacancy left by the Danish player.

Hanning emphasized a commitment to financial efficiency, noting that the club would only act if a player was available who could significantly improve the team's level. He expressed a refusal to pay high prices for mediocre talent, stating, “For little performance, spending a lot of money was never my strength.”

Instead, the club intends to rely on 24-year-old German national player Matthes Langhoff to take on greater responsibility in the position. While Hanning maintains full confidence in Langhoff, he left the door slightly ajar, noting that if head coach Nicolej Krickau identifies a specific player who provides immediate, high-level assistance, the club is prepared to make a move.
