FCI Levadia faces potential rule violation after victory over Paide

FCI Levadia defeated Paide Linnameeskond 2-0 in an Estonian Premium Liiga match, but the league leader faces potential sanctions for violating player eligibility rules.

During the match, Levadia head coach Vjatšeslav Zahovaiko substituted club-trained players (KTM) Maksimilian Skvortsov and captain Mark Oliver Roosnup, leaving only one KTM player on the pitch. According to Estonian football regulations, a team must have at least two club-trained players on the field throughout the match, unless substitutions are exhausted or players are removed due to injury or red cards. Levadia remained in violation of this rule from the time of the substitution until the 80th minute, when Gregor Leh entered the game.

On the pitch, Skvortsov scored a penalty in the 68th minute to secure the lead. Paide head coach Tarmo King criticized the officiating, specifically regarding the penalty decision.
