FCM Travel launches conversational booking via Microsoft Teams and Slack

FCM Travel, the corporate division of Australia-listed Flight Centre Travel Group, has launched a conversational booking feature integrated within Microsoft Teams and Slack. The tool allows travelers to book trips using natural language, providing options tailored to company policy, traveler profiles, loyalty status, and past routes.

While the service is currently live on Teams and Slack, FCM has announced plans to expand integration to AI platforms including ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. This move follows a period of strong financial performance for FCM, which reported an underlying pre-tax profit of A$124.6 million for the six months ending December 2025.

The shift toward conversational AI reflects a broader industry trend in corporate travel management. Competitors such as Amex GBT and BCD are also pursuing AI-driven solutions through different methods, including third-party assistant integrations and acquisitions of AI firms.
