FCS Football Week 6 features top-10 matchup between Tarleton State and Austin Peay

FCS football enters Week 6 with several top-ranked teams on byes, though remaining matchups feature high-stakes contests. A marquee game in the United Athletic Conference features No. 3 Tarleton State visiting No. 9 Austin Peay. Despite the absence of running back Tylan Hines, Tarleton State leads the FCS in offensive yards per game and yards per play. Austin Peay enters the matchup with a strong home record at Fortera Stadium and high-performing offensive players, including quarterback Chris Parson and wide receiver Denver Harper.

In the Big Sky Conference, the Opta projection model gives No. 13 Northern Arizona a slight edge over No. 2 Montana.

Reviewing Week 5 performance, South Dakota State demonstrated efficiency by controlling the line of scrimmage against Illinois State, while North Dakota recorded the second-best rushing success rate in the country at 68% during their recent victory.
