FCS Punter of the Year preseason watchlist features Ben Shrewsbury and Jackson Bowman

Two punters have been named to the 2026 FCS Punter of the Year Preseason Watch List by the Augusta Sports Council.

Ben Shrewsbury, a senior at VMI, is the sole representative from the Southern Conference on the list. Shrewsbury recorded 87 punts for 4,075 yards during the 2025 season, maintaining a punt average of 47.9 yards, which ranked third in the FCS.

Jackson Bowman, a transfer from North Carolina Central University to Campbell University, also earned a spot on the watchlist. Bowman previously earned All-MEAC honors during his 2025 campaign at North Carolina Central.
