FCSB aborts Anderson Ceara transfer amid disputed contract clause
FCSB official Mihai Stoica rejected the terms proposed by Romanian club Csikszereda for the transfer of 27‑year‑old Brazilian winger Anderson Ceara, calling the conditions “unreal”. Stoica said the club could not accept a clause that would require payment the following year only if the player participated in 50 % of matches, especially given the player’s knee problems.
Owner Gigi Becali confirmed the deal collapsed after he learned of an “anomalous” clause that would grant Csikszereda an additional €100,000 if Ceara played at least half of the games, even when those appearances were counted while injured. Becali described the clause as “if he is injured in 50 % of matches, it is counted as played”, and said it was unacceptable. Both parties cited medical concerns as the official reason for ending the transfer.
