FCSB delays return to Arena Națională and eyes new player signings
FCSB will not play its opening home matches of the new season at the Arena Națională. Club administrator Mihai Stoica said the team will only move back to the stadium at the beginning of August, blaming Bucharest City Hall for using the venue for non‑football events. He warned, “Probabil, la începutul lunii august, ne vom muta pe Arena Națională. Nu depinde de noi, depinde de Primărie… Cât timp Metallica e mai importantă decât fotbalul, nu avem cum să vindem abonamente.” Consequently, the club’s first league match against FC Argeș and a Conference League qualifier against Auda will be held at a different stadium.
In the transfer market, FCSB has so far only signed right‑back Ronny Labbone. Stoica announced that the club expects to complete two more deals early next week: a lateral attacker and a midfielder he described as “un jucător cunoscut”. He added that the agreements are near finalisation and that “Suntem foarte, foarte aproape cu doi jucători.”
