FCSB secures Marius Baciu's contract and ramps up transfer spending
Marius Baciu, the coach of FCSB, explained the changes he introduced that helped the team beat Dinamo in the Conference League play‑off and qualify for the tournament's preliminaries. The club confirmed Baciu's new contract, extending his tenure beyond the current season.
Owner Gigi Becali announced a willingness to spend up to €5 million on new signings. Negotiations for Serbian midfielder Stefan Pirgic stalled after Czech side Viktoria Plzen withdrew, leaving the player available for FCSB. Becali also mentioned targets such as young striker Remus Guțea and a new forward priced between €1.5‑2 million, citing his €3 million investment in Daniel Bîrligea as precedent. The club is also close to signing a right‑back from abroad. These moves aim to reinforce the squad for the upcoming domestic campaign and the European competition.
