Negotiations for Serbian midfielder Stefan Pirgic stalled after Czech side Viktoria Plzen withdrew, leaving the player available for FCSB. Becali also mentioned targets such as young striker Remus Guțea and a new forward priced between €1.5‑2 million, citing his €3 million investment in Daniel Bîrligea as precedent.
