Gigi Becali seeks law changes after forced church demolition

FCSB owner Gigi Becali is seeking to amend religious cult laws after being fined 31,000 lei and ordered by the Environmental Guard to dismantle a church he built in Techirghiol on his own land. Becali, a member of the Romanian Parliament, intends to propose legislation that would allow owners to build churches on their property without environmental approval, even in protected areas, provided the structure is under 120 meters.

In sports news, FCSB is actively pursuing a transfer for Nicolae Stanciu, who is currently playing in China. The club faces competition from Universitatea Craiova and U Cluj for the player. Meanwhile, new coach Laurențiu Reghecampf has implemented an intense training regimen, which midfielder Karlo Muhar described as spartan, noting that many players are experiencing muscle fever due to the physical demand.

Former staff members have also shared insights into the club's internal dynamics. Mihai Pintilii discussed his past collaboration with Becali, noting that while the owner could be difficult, he was often open to technical explanations. Additionally, former player Nana Falemi recalled an incident where coach Victor Pițurcă had to reprimand Becali for smoking in the locker room.
