FCSB owner Gigi Becali issues ultimatum to coach Marius Baciu

Following FCSB’s 2-1 derby loss to Dinamo, club owner Gigi Becali initially announced the departure of coach Marius Baciu. However, after consulting with supporters, Becali reversed the decision, granting Baciu an ultimatum to secure at least four points in the upcoming matches against Petrolul and Universitatea Craiova.

Becali revealed that while he had considered replacing Baciu with Ianis Zicu, the fans’ support for the current coach prevented the move. Adrian Mutu has emerged as a primary candidate for the position should Baciu fail to meet the required objectives.

In player news, owner Gigi Becali expressed willingness to loan Octavian Popescu to CFR Cluj following interest from coach Marius Șumudică. Additionally, former FCSB striker Daniel Bîrligea has seen playing time at Frosinone in Serie A, while new signing Denis Drăguș is working toward returning to the pitch after his transfer from Trabzonspor.
