FCT Police Chief Ahmed Sanusi bans extortion of Keke riders
Ahmed Sanusi, the Commissioner of Police for Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory, warned officers that extorting commercial tricycle (Keke) riders, motorcyclists and motorists will not be tolerated. He said any officer caught engaging in such conduct will be treated as a criminal and removed from duty.
Sanusi pledged to restore public confidence by enforcing professionalism, accountability and discipline, and announced that the command is closely monitoring officers through reports from the public and internal sources. He also instructed commanders to intensify actions against robberies, phone‑snatching and other crimes in the city.
