FCT Water Board Restores Treated Water to Abuja’s Wuse, Wuye and Maitama

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Water Board resumed treated water supply to the Wuse 1, Wuse 2, Wuye and Maitama districts of Abuja on Tuesday, 5 August 2026. Engineers completed emergency repairs on the main transmission pipeline, averting a potential system collapse and securing a stable supply for the affected areas and the wider FCT.

Public Relations Officer Umar Suleiman Ako said the board thanked residents for their patience during the brief disruption and urged prompt payment of water bills to fund ongoing operations and maintenance. The board reaffirmed its commitment to delivering clean, reliable water to all FCT households.
