FDA approves RHA Redensity Eye for under-eye hollows
The FDA has approved RHA Redensity Eye, a new hyaluronic acid filler designed to correct moderate to severe volume loss in the under-eye area, also known as infraorbital hollows. The treatment is cleared for adults aged 22 and older.
Part of the Teoxane RHA Collection, the product utilizes Preserved Network Technology to maintain the structure of the hyaluronic acid and is formulated with mepivacaine. In a 52-week clinical study, 93 percent of patients reported improvement in under-eye hollows at the three-month mark, with results lasting up to one year. The study reported no serious treatment-related side effects, such as vascular occlusions or inflammatory reactions.
RHA Redensity Eye joins other recently approved fillers for this specific area, including Juvéderm Volbella XC, Restylane Eyelight, and Belotero Balance (+).
