Recent medical developments in cardiology and endocrinology have seen several significant regulatory milestones and clinical updates. In endocrinology, the FDA cleared Beta Bionics’ Mint insulin patch pump, a reusable and disposable system designed for diabetes management, which is expected to be available in early 2027. Bayer received FDA approval for a label expansion of finerenone (Kerendia) to treat chronic kidney disease associated with type 1 diabetes, marking a significant development for the condition.
