FDA Recalls Bettergoods Pistachio Nut Butter Over Salmonella Risk
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced a voluntary recall of one production lot of Bettergoods Pistachio Nut Butter after the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services detected Salmonella in three jars during a routine inspection at a Walmart store on July 17, 2026. The product, manufactured by Gustibus Alimentari Srl in Italy and imported by Botticelli Foods, is sold exclusively at Walmart and was distributed to stores in 19 U.S. states. No illnesses or injuries have been reported.
The recall applies only to the lot coded LB028ACP04, with an expiration date of January 28, 2027, and does not affect other Bettergoods nut butter products. Consumers who purchased the 6.7‑ounce glass jars are urged to return them for a full refund and may contact Botticelli Foods for assistance.
