Fédération de l’Horlogerie celebrates Franco-Swiss watchmaking heritage
The Fédération de l’Horlogerie has released a new film to celebrate Franco-Swiss watchmaking expertise, which was inscribed on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in December 2020.
To coincide with World Watch Day on October 10, 2026, the film highlights the living heritage of horological trades. Narrated by expert Olivier Talon, the production features locations ranging from Paris to Besançon and Morteau, including the Breguet Museum, Breitling’s customer service, and the Pequignet manufacture.
The initiative aims to showcase the transmission of specialized knowledge and techniques within the Watchmaking Arc, a cross-border ecosystem that integrates science, art, and high precision.
