Fear Factory releases new single “Roboticist” with new lineup

Industrial metal band Fear Factory has released “Roboticist,” their first new single in five years and the first studio recording to feature the current lineup. The track marks the recording debut of vocalist Milo Silvestro, drummer Pete Webber, and bassist Tony Campos alongside founding guitarist Dino Cazares.

Produced by Damien Rainaud, the single explores themes of artificial intelligence and the dystopian friction between humanity and machines. The release date of August 29 was chosen as a nod to the Terminator franchise, coinciding with the fictional date Skynet becomes self-aware.

The release signals a new era for the band following the departure of former vocalist Burton C. Bell. While details regarding the upcoming eleventh studio album remain undisclosed, the band is embarking on an extensive tour across Europe and the United States to promote the new material.
