Fear Factory vocalist Milo Silvestro discusses Italian tour and AI

Fear Factory frontman Milo Silvestro is preparing for the band’s ‘Cybernetic Domination Tour’ in Italy, including a performance at the Orion club in Ciampino on September 26 and the Metalitalia Festival on September 27. Silvestro, who was a fan in the front row at the same venue in 2012, reflects on his transition from fan to vocalist for the Los Angeles-based group.

In anticipation of a new album expected in early 2027, Silvestro discussed the impact of artificial intelligence on the music industry, suggesting that while AI may cause disruption, it will lead to a renewed appreciation for human-made music. He also addressed challenges within the metal scene, noting difficulties in rewarding originality amidst algorithms and industry competition.
