Croatia weather: Warm sunny days to give way to rain and storms

Croatia is currently experiencing stable, sunny, and warm weather, often referred to as ‘Indian summer’. Temperatures are reaching between 23 and 27 degrees Celsius in many regions, with mild mornings and clear skies across the mainland and the Adriatic coast.

However, a significant weather shift is expected mid-week. A Genoa cyclone and an influx of unstable oceanic air are forecasted to bring increased cloud cover, rain, and showers. The change will likely start in the southern regions and move north, with the highest probability of heavy rainfall occurring by Friday. Winds are also expected to shift, with potential gusts of southwesterly winds (jugo) and increased instability in the latter half of the week.
