Febraban congratulates Lula and Alckmin on presidential victory
The Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban) has issued a statement congratulating President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva and Vice President Geraldo Alckmin following their victory in the presidential election, as confirmed by the Superior Electoral Court (TSE).
In a note signed by the entity's new president, Leandro Vilain, Febraban praised the conclusion of a “successful” democratic process. The banking sector expressed its intention to maintain a collaborative stance and continue acting as a catalyst for economic activity.
Febraban also offered its technical expertise to the president-elect and his economic team to assist with banking-related matters and promote national economic and social development for the 2027–2030 term.
