Fed Square’s RESET festival returns with free sustainability events

The RESET sustainability festival is returning to Fed Square this spring, offering a month of free community events across Melbourne and regional Victoria. The fourth annual program, supported by Bupa, focuses on creative sustainability through workshops, planting projects, and repair activities.

Key highlights include the Planting Party on 5 September, which features gardening workshops, weaving, and discussions on regenerative design. The Zero Waste Festival on 12 September will host repair stations, clothing swaps, and the inaugural ReWear Runway, showcasing repurposed garments. Other scheduled activities include the Book Doof reading event on 13 September, junk journaling, and sewing sessions.

Family-oriented programming will run from 19 September to 4 October, featuring the return of Polyglot Theatre’s Paper Planet and various outdoor film screenings. Melbourne Arts Precinct Director and CEO Katrina Sedgwick stated the festival aims to encourage practical, enjoyable ways for the public to engage with sustainable living.
