Fedecámaras projects private investment in Margarita services
Gabriel Briceño, president of Fedecámaras Nueva Esparta, has projected increased private sector participation in the management and improvement of electricity and water services in Margarita, Venezuela. He noted that recent legislative changes, specifically the new National Electric Service Law, provide the legal mechanisms necessary to attract private investment that were previously unavailable.
Briceño revealed that agreements have already been signed with international corporations, including General Electric, to integrate private entities into the electrical system. These legal and political shifts are intended to build the confidence required to attract capital, which is seen as a strategic necessity to resolve the regional service crisis and foster economic development.
