Federal Civil Service Commission begins online accreditation for 2026 promotions

The Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC) has launched an online accreditation process for officers on Salary Grade Levels 14, 15, and 16 in preparation for the 2026 promotion exercise.

Accreditation is scheduled to run from Friday, August 14, to Friday, August 28, 2026. Candidates must use the Commission’s designated promotion portal and will receive login credentials via their registered email addresses.

Ibraheem Zakariyya, Head of Press and Public Relations for the FCSC, stated that the deadline is strict and will not be extended. Officers who fail to complete the accreditation within this window will be required to re-present themselves for the promotion exercise in 2027.

The Commission has requested that Permanent Secretaries, Accounting Officers, and Chief Executive Officers of Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) ensure all affected staff—including those stationed outside headquarters or serving abroad—are informed and comply with the directive.
