Distrito Federal: Emergency drills, job openings, and social services

Various social, economic, and safety initiatives are underway in the Distrito Federal and surrounding regions.

In Ceilândia, Transpetro is conducting an emergency drill to simulate an oil pipeline leak and fuel theft. The exercise involves local security forces and has caused partial traffic restrictions on the DF-180 highway under a ‘stop and go’ system managed by Detran-DF.

Employment opportunities are being promoted through local agencies, with over 1,500 job openings reported recently. Positions range from nutritionists and mechanics to cashiers, with salaries reaching up to R$ 3,600. Interested candidates can apply via the Digital Work Card app or in person.

Social and health services are also active. Teams are providing assistance to people experiencing homelessness in Sobradinho and Samambaia, following Supreme Court guidelines regarding the handling of personal belongings. Additionally, mobile health units are visiting communities like Vila Santo André to provide medical consultations, vaccinations, and rapid testing for various diseases.
