Federal District Government expands health services and infrastructure in Planaltina
The Government of the Federal District (GDF) launched a series of actions in Planaltina, Brazil, aimed at strengthening public health and social assistance. Through the mobile "GDF na Sua Porta" program, residents received vaccinations for all ages, mental‑health care, basic consultations, dental care, contraceptive implants (Implanon) and free sanitary pads for vulnerable women, as well as rabies vaccinations for pets. Governor Celina Leão opened the outreach, which also included drainage works, sidewalk repairs, new lighting, and sports‑facility maintenance.
In parallel, the Regional Hospital of Planaltina saw the completion of emergency‑room renovations and the installation of a new tomograph, expected to speed diagnoses and reduce patient transfers. The combined initiatives illustrate the GDF’s strategy to bring health, social protection and infrastructure improvements directly to the community.
