Federal District lawmakers discuss teacher welfare and labor reforms

During a session of the Legislative Chamber of the Federal District (CLDF), lawmakers discussed improvements for classroom conditions and the recent approval of the end of the 6x1 work schedule by the National Congress.

Deputy Chico Vigilante highlighted the need for better infrastructure in schools, noting that some classrooms lack basic comfort such as air conditioning and proper windows. He also addressed the implications of the new labor model, criticizing proposals for hourly pay that might strip workers of benefits like paid leave and medical certificates.

Deputy Max Maciel joined the discussion by celebrating the end of the 6x1 scale as a significant social advancement and noted the declining number of individuals choosing teaching as a profession.
