Federal Facilities Council advances federal facility management

The Federal Facilities Council (FFC), operating under the National Research Council, focuses on advancing technologies and management practices to improve the life-cycle performance of federal facilities. The organization facilitates information sharing through networking, workshops, and studies to address government-wide issues in planning, design, construction, and maintenance.

The FFC utilizes five standing committees to execute its mission: Workforce and Organizational Performance, Cyber and Physical Security and Hazard Mitigation, Real Property Inventory, Planning, and Transactional Real Estate, and Sustainable Operations & Maintenance. These committees address critical areas such as workforce competency, facility protection from natural and manmade hazards, and the financial and technical aspects of federal real property management.
