Federal forces launch security operations in Los Altos, Jalisco

Federal security forces, including the Secretaría de Marina (SEMAR) and the Secretaría de la Defensa Nacional (SEDENA), conducted large-scale operations across three municipalities in the Los Altos region of Jalisco on Friday.

In Arandas, the deployment began early in the morning with low-altitude helicopter flights and the establishment of security perimeters and street closures. Reports indicated that SEMAR personnel conducted diligences at various locations, including a potential search of a property suspected of being a safe house.

In Tepatitlán, SEMAR and SEDENA units were observed in several areas, specifically in Barrio Alto and near the El Tablón Sports Unit. SEMAR concentrated personnel in the La Gloria zone, near Coto del Rey, and in Capilla de Milpillas. The state government confirmed that these security deployments are part of efforts to target priority objectives in the region.
