Federal Highway Police seize 138 kg of cocaine paste in Cambé
The Federal Highway Police (PRF) seized 138.8 kilograms of cocaine paste during a inspection on highway BR-369 in Cambé, Paraná. The drugs were found hidden in a specially prepared compartment within the fuel tank of a truck with Paraguayan license plates.
The vehicle was legally transporting a cargo of rice, which appeared to be a legitimate commercial operation. However, officers became suspicious after the 23-year-old Paraguayan driver provided inconsistent information regarding the trip. Upon closer inspection, police discovered 135 tablets of cocaine paste hidden in the manipulated tank. The driver was arrested on charges of international drug trafficking, and the vehicle and seized substances were transferred to the Federal Police in Londrina.
