Três Lagoas: PRF seizes cocaine hidden in spare tire

Federal Highway Police (PRF) seized 1.071 kilograms of cocaine hydrochloride during an inspection on the BR-262 highway in Três Lagoas, Mato Grosso do Sul. The drugs were discovered hidden inside the spare tire of a white Volkswagen Gol.

During the stop, officers noted nervous behavior and contradictory statements from the occupants. Upon closer inspection of the vehicle, the driver reportedly admitted to the presence of drugs. The driver claimed the vehicle was already loaded in Ponta Porã and was being transported to Três Lagoas for delivery.

A man and a woman were detained at the scene. While the woman claimed to be unaware of the narcotics, both individuals were taken to the Civil Police in Três Lagoas for further investigation into the origin and destination of the shipment.
